Hailing from the high altitudes of Yirgacheffe - Wegida in Ethiopia, this Grade 1 Natural processed coffee is cultivated by Yenenesh Getu, a woman farmer whose name translates to 'You are mine'. The coffee is grown naturally under indigenous trees like Ensete Ventricosum, contributing to its unique terroir. Ephatah pre-financed 30% of the harvest to support the farmer in hiring manual pickers, highlighting a commitment to sustainable practices. After careful hand-picking by local women, the coffee undergoes a natural process involving floating to remove defects and 12-15 days of sun-drying on raised beds. This meticulous approach results in a coffee with an SCA score of 88.25, characterized by a prolonged sweet finish, juicy acidity, and a silky body.
